Update 2023
Dear Pack Members,
This year there will be a change in services for Daycare. Dogventures will be exclusively Boarding, In-home Sitting, walking, and Hiking. Full day Services and private dog training will no longer be available during the week. Hiking does a lot on a dogs body and mind. Most of our hikes average 3.5 miles. Those who were doing full daycare end up doing 9 to 12 miles a day. To prolong the health of every member, services will only be half days or group oriented. The average 6 mile hike takes 2 hours total. 30 minutes of Free play and than drop-offs. Your dog will be out of the house for 3 to 4 hours total on off leash hikes. 2 to 3 hours for leash hikes and about 1 to 2 hours for walks. Some of your dogs are content in 30 to 45 minutes of the walk to go home and nap.
If your dog is physically able to keep up, I am happy to add them to multiple events the same day. They will be forced to have a break for several hours to Recuperate either at your home or mine. The other big factor is SIZE. I have Owners requesting Small Dog hikes (little guys and gentle players only) Some of the bigger guys are a little too much for the tiny pals.
All these Effects will take form Starting September 5th and will be completed by OCTOBER 1ST. This will allow everyone to adjust to changes/schedule for their individual needs.
I will also be handing out PHYSICAL PAPERS for you to Fill out with information for exisiting/new Pack members that will allow me to be updated on your pets information. I will need a updated copy of your dogs Vaccination for this year. I can call your vet to ask for an emailed copy or you can provide it yourself. This will allow everyone to be safe for activites.
Packages will no longer be available as the response for how they worked becomes obsolete. I will still provide discounts and promise spots for Pack members.
Example Schedule:
Each week will have weather permitting Group hikes. Those excursions will be for the safety of EVERYONE.
Walks will be all Weather (Rain or Shine, Snow or Heat). They will be adjusted to keep your pet safe (extreme heat, ice, Wind storms)
DAYCARE Replacements:
If your dog was previously in Full Daycare or needs Full daycare, please reach out and discuss what option best fits your family’s needs. This does not Effect boarding/house sitting dogs. Some dogs I accommodate my entire schedule to make sure they won’t be left alone AT ALL. This means I tailor the schedule to dogs with behavior, physical or medical needs.
